Sculpture almost in the form of writing ,telling stories, recalling truths, searching for opposing balances, tensions, hopes and dreams.
There is a bit of the Bauhaus heritage in the different facets of Eric Luc Maquet who, in view of his many activities and in spite of himself , unites what the Gesamtkunstwerk was to this school, a combination of art, design and architecture.
There is something stabile-mobile in the freedom of reflection of the artist who, despite the admiration he has always had for Calder, never tires of wanting to hatch the tense movement of his familiar and fantastic dreams, between balance and imbalance.
Faced with urban chaos, climatic disorders, and our changing world, Eric Luc has experienced in himself a keen sense of the required dialogue between nature, the city and its inhabitants.
Faced with this global disorder where the human predator is trapped in his actions, Eric Luc offers a reflection on the role of man in society.
By confronting his very refined creations in unexpected places and places charged with history, he creates tensions and makes strong gestures thus offering moments of dream and hope.
On awakening, filled with the shapes of his nocturnal dreams, he puts a lot of energy into delivering , with the complicity of its foundries focusing particularly on the purity of their patina, urban messages as bright as dreams that inspired them and as luminous as the hopes they engender.
